KONG Pirata Caving Descender
We like how the pirata does not creep on the rope when you release the handle unlike some others on the market. When you rlease the handle, the device stops you on the rope and stays there. This is due to very small ridges on one of the lobes which allows additonal grip onto the rope without causing damage. This design does mean you need a little extra tug on the handle to get yourself going but thats not a problem in our experience.
